White Card Course (General Construction Induction)
Mandatory safety training to start working in the construction industry.
What Is the White Card?
To carry out construction work, you must complete a general construction induction course, commonly known as White Card training. It must be completed before starting work in the industry and may need to be refreshed if returning after an extended absence or identified through supervision or incident review.
Unit of Competency
This course includes the national unit:
CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
Entry Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Complete a Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) test as part of enrolment
- Must attend scheduled classroom sessions in full
Course Delivery
This course is delivered face-to-face over a single day (6 hours). It includes a mix of theory, practical components, classroom delivery, and group discussions. Students must attend in person at the scheduled location and time.
